PUBLIC SAFETY

I worked in law enforcement for three decades and know how important public safety is to Corona residents. I will always make keeping our community safe one of my highest priorities.

Corona is often faced with difficult budget decisions, with the city council faced with funding seemingly unlimited needs with limited resources. I pledge to provide our police and fire departments with the funding they require to maintain response times in order to keep families safe.

HOMELESS

Anyone who has lived in Corona for more than a few years knows all too well that our city has experienced a dramatic increase in the amount of homeless on our streets. I am committed to supporting programs and policies that get homeless out of our parks and off of our streets, while providing resources to those ready for help.

Five years ago, I founded a nonprofit (Make It Cozy) that works under the city of Corona’s homeless support structure of Mercy House and City Net Homeless Services. Make it Cozy supports Mercy House-operated emergency shelter graduates, City Net clients, and those placed with permanent housing opportunities.

FINANCIAL STABILITY

The city’s public employees are providing critical services for city residents and businesses, which is why their stability is one of my top priorities.

Protecting your tax dollars will always be a top priority. Corona’s future requires stable financial planning today and tomorrow.

To address the rising cost of water, I will support efforts to increase local water supplies to make Corona less dependent on more expensive imported water sources.

COMMUNITY INPUT

Your voice as a resident and taxpayer is important to me. That’s why as a Corona Planning Commissioner I have taken the time to speak with residents impacted by proposed projects. As your city council member, I will continue to seek out your opinions and use them to form my opinions about our shared future.

LOCAL CONTROL

I’m committed to standing up to the ongoing assault on local control and constant attempts to strip decision making away from local residents and decision makers.
